The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer, which can only mean one thing: Spring is coming! And although we are fortunate to have virtually a year round riding season, this is the time of year when a lot of riders really start enjoying the warmer temps and sunshine. So before you start attacking those twisty canyon roads or head out for that big multi-state road trip with your riding buddies, it’s important to make sure you and your bike are ready for the road! Here are a few tips – and special offers! – to help you get ready.

  1. Get Your Bike Ready

Whether you’ve been regularly riding throughout the winter months or not, this is a prime opportunity to make sure you are up-to-date with your scheduled maintenance intervals: every 6,000 miles or once per year, whichever is shorter. If you are in between intervals, we still invite you to bring your bike in for a Multi-Point Inspection. Let our BMW-Certified Master Techs take a look at your ride and make sure you are ready for those upcoming road trips or weekend rides. The last thing you want to happen on your big trip is to have a mechanical issue that could have been prevented!

  1. Get Your Gear Ready

Come bring your gear in to our gear fit expert, Chelsea, who can take a look and see if you need to replace anything. Excessive wear or crushed padding can result in poorly fitting gear, which compromises its protective abilities. If you dropped your helmet or worse, hit the pavement, then it’s time to look for a new one. If your gear is no longer waterproof, we can help you with that too! Whether you are replacing some new gear or just looking to add some pieces to your collection, this is a great time to do it.

  1. Get Your Supplies Ready

Need some new luggage for that road trip? How about some additional pieces of armor for your GS? Or what about that new exhaust pipe you’ve had your eye on? The time is now! Don’t spend the riding season wishing you had enhanced your ride!

  1. Get Yourself Ready

Refresher course, anyone? Whether you’re a new rider or a seasoned veteran, everyone can benefit from ongoing training and education. Many of our partner training organizations offer intermediate, advanced or even refresher courses, and this is a great way to make sure you shake off the rust and get your riding ability and mental focus sharpened before you embark on your next journey.
