Why Service Your Bike here?
Why should you bring your bike to Long Beach BMW Motorcycles for servicing or repairs? Short answer:Â Training and Experience!
Long Beach BMW Motorcycles spends a considerable amount of time and money having our technicians trained to BMW standards. BMW Master Technicians have to take a series of 22 on-line courses and attend 7 instructor led classes to reach Level 2 Master Certified status, the highest level for a BMW technician. Instructor led classes for technicians can range from 3-5 day courses on such subjects as BMW Motorrad Diagnostic Systems and Electronic Systems and Engine Management. Master technicians must also take engine classes for the latest engines such as the water cooled boxer motor where they learn about the intricate workings of BMW’s latest boxer motor. A Gearbox and Final Drive course is also required.
And the training doesn’t stop once they take the required courses. Each year BMW comes out with new online training which all technicians are required to take to retain their certification level.
In addition to their training, all the technicians at Long Beach BMW Motorcycles have extensive dealership experience working on BMW motorcycles. They have a combined experience of over 70 years working BMW Motorcycles on a wide variety of jobs from routine services to engine, gearbox and final drive rebuilds. There’s more to it than just taking classes! They all have proven experience!
Along with the training and experience, they also have at their disposal the latest BMW diagnostic equipment and special tools for all the models. All BMW dealers are automatically shipped the latest special tools for the latest models.
Aside from the special tools, as a BMW Motorrad dealer we have access to the recently developed AIR System. AIR stands for Aftersales Information Research. It is an up-to- date, live system which allows dealers to research information and data on every BMW bike. By inputting the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), a dealer can find out whether there are open recalls or campaigns, repair information, technical data, parts information and more. In other words, we have the ability to research a variety of information for your particular bike.
